Phillip Vincent
Community Engagement Officer
Phillip joined ACRE as part of the Rural Infrastructure England project; an initiative financed by the Big Lottery Fund. His main duties and responsibilities include:
- Provision of support to community workers facilitating Community-led Plans
- Contributing to ACRE’s national policy work which relates to issues of community engagement
- Developing ACRE’s rural evidence base to demonstrate the effectiveness of Community-led Planning
- Communicating the policies and work of ACRE and the Rural Community Action Network (RCAN) externally
Phillip holds a BA in Human Geography and has a specific interest in issues relating to rural development. He returned from Ireland in Spring 2008 having studied for a MA in Community Development. Phillip also worked for a community-led organisation in Ireland working to facilitate the resettlement of UNHCR Programme Refugees.
