ACRE is proud to be supporting Volunteers’ Week from 1 - 7 June 2018. It is an annual celebration of the contribution that millions of volunteers across the UK make to their communities.
More and more rural communities across the UK are pulling together to create community hubs and provide additional services in existing community buildings.
Staff at ACRE Network organisations identify funding, support volunteers and encourage partners to work together for the benefit of rural communities; they play an extremely valuable role and one to be celebrated during Volunteers Week.
Volunteers’ week is an opportunity for people to thank the tens of thousands of volunteers whose work behind the scenes in every community in the UK.
Every year, the first seven days of June are dedicated as Volunteers’ Week and ACRE and the ACRE Network is really looking forward to being involved this year.
The ACRE Network has secured funding from the Centre for Social Action Innovation Fund to create a national Good Neighbours Network in rural areas.
12 million hours of volunteering, £11m of renovations and 38.6 million cups of tea
What a fabulous summer 2014 is turning out to be (unless you are a national sporting hero) and let’s hope it lasts throughout the school holidays.
