Small Charity Week 2017: Fundraising Day (by Louise Beaton, ACRE Trustee)
Fundraising Day is the perfect opportunity for small charities to engage with current and new supporters to get fundraising.
Fundraising Day is the perfect opportunity for small charities to engage with current and new supporters to get fundraising.
Day 3 of Small Charity Week is ‘Policy Day’ and the aim is to encourage small charities to ‘raise their profile and engage with influencers’. ACRE’s Network of Village and Community Halls provides an opportunity for volunteers managing small charitable halls to do just that.
ACRE is delighted to promote and offer our support to Small Charity Week, a week-long celebration of the many achievements of the UK’s small charity sector.
As Volunteers Week 2017 comes to a close, ACRE wanted to take the time to say one final THANK-YOU to all volunteers, who are making England’s rural communities such vibrant and cohesive places to live.
ACRE is pleased to be working with The Phone Co-op to help increase the number of village halls and similar rural community buildings with a connection to broadband.
Staff at ACRE Network organisations identify funding, support volunteers and encourage partners to work together for the benefit of rural communities; they play an extremely valuable role and one to be celebrated during Volunteers Week.
Across England there are residents giving up their spare time on a weekly basis, in order to make their community a better place to live and today ACRE wants to focus on those who are providing a ‘voice’ for local residents.
Volunteers’ week is an opportunity for people to thank the tens of thousands of volunteers whose work behind the scenes in every community in the UK.
