Devon launches Rural Lens campaign

Devon Communities Together has launched a new campaign that encourages people to view life through the rural lens.
Involving a very fetching pair of bright green glasses, the Rural Lens campaign aims to highlight all that’s great about rural communities, while also bringing much-needed focus to many of the challenges that some face on a daily basis.
Nora Corkery, CEO of Devon Communities Together, explained that the campaign has proved particularly useful when liaising with external partners, such as councils, the NHS and housing developers.
She said: “By asking them to look at issues of planning and policy through a rural lens, we can actually champion the voices of our rural communities.”
The campaign has taken off across Devon Communities Together’s social media pages, which show dozens of supporters donning the green glasses and giving their take on what makes rural communities unique.
