ACRE has partnered with like-minded rural organisations the Rural Services Network (RSN), the Rural Coalition and The Plunkett Foundation in writing to George Eustice Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
2020 saw the 3rd year for ACRE's national campaign Village Halls Week. Over 700 halls registered to celebrate. The support for village halls, their services, volunteers and their importance to their communities was overwhelming.
Following on from a highly successful Village Halls’ Week that involved over 700 village halls, actively engaged 18 MPs and attracted coverage from BBC Countryfile, national Newspapers and resulted in #villagehallsweek trending on Twitter, ACRE will launch a national survey.
Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE) runs the annual campaign Village Halls Week which celebrates the community spaces at the heart of rural communities. This year promises to be extra special as the week kick starts in the House of Commons.
A coalition of thirteen leading rural organisations is calling on Prospective Parliamentary Candidates and their political parties to commit to delivering fairer funding for rural areas following the election on 12 December.
