Lottery funding secures future of

vital employment support scheme

Funding from the National Lottery’s Community Fund has helped to secure the future of a vital employment support initiative in Swindon and Wiltshire.

Community First’s Building Bridges programme aims to give residents who are out of work the support, skills and training needed to achieve qualifications and secure employment.

The initiative, which has been helping people for more than a decade, has now been awarded funding from the National Lottery that means it can continue delivering its vital work until 2029.

Dave Potts, Building Bridges Programme Manager, said: “We are grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund for their ongoing support.

“We would also like to thank our dedicated team for the wonderful work they do to help people overcome their barriers to employment and education.

“We know this work really does change lives.”
