welcomes new CEO

Stephen Loizou has joined Surrey Community Action as the charity’s new Chief Executive Officer.

He takes over from interim CEO Tom Gill, who joined SCA earlier this year as a temporary replacement for the previous chief executive Jason Gaskell.

Stephen brings more than 25 years of VCSE sector experience to Surrey, and joins the team having previously been CEO at a mental health and wellbeing charity.

He said: “I am very excited to join the team at Surrey Community Action, and work alongside the great range of charities Surrey has.

“I have worked with six infrastructure organisations in the past, and have a strong understanding of how an infrastructure organisation can and should support its partners.

“This role is a natural progression for me, and I cannot wait to get started.”

Stephen began formally working with the charity on Monday 3 August.
