Supporting our network

As the national representative body for the ACRE Network, we help our members to be effective in their support and representation of rural communities in every county of England.

We support our members in the following ways:

  • Showcasing the difference the ACRE Network makes to rural communities

  • Alerting colleagues to national policy developments of relevance to rural communities, seeking their views and drawing on their collective knowledge and experience to inform our advocacy work

  • Creating opportunities for colleagues to network, share experiences and support each other in their work
  • Providing technical advice, information, and training to maintain and enhance professional capabilities underpinning the network’s support for village halls and other types of rural community projects
  • Acting as a broker and administrator of national grant schemes for the benefit of rural communities
  • Managing national projects and programmes that trial new ways of working or add value to the work of members
