Network members’ work

shortlisted for CPRE Awards

Two ACRE Network members have had their work shortlisted for a prestigious CPRE Centenary Award.

Action in Rural Sussex and Community Action Northumberland are both in the running to receive an award, with the winners set to be announced before the end of the month.

The Arundel Community Land Trust, which has been supported by Action in Rural Sussex, is shortlisted in the Best Housing Solution category after it delivered the area’s first new general needs social housing for 50 years.

Community Action Northumberland has been recognised in the Best Rooftop Solar Solution category for its work in supporting Northumberland Community Energy Limited, which installs solar panels and battery storage on village halls, churches and other community-owned sports facilities.

The awards, which celebrate CPRE’s 100th anniversary, recognise outstanding projects and organisations making a positive difference to England’s countryside and rural communities.
