Seize the Day: The ACRE Archives Project
ACRE and the ACRE Network hold a rich collection of material and documents, which record the history of their work over many decades and the impact it has had on rural communities across England.
In 2023 ACRE bid successfully, with the help of FANS (Friends of ACRE Network), to The National Archives (TNA) for funding to appoint a consultant to scope ACRE and the ACRE Network archives, and make recommendations on their future management and the opportunities to widen access to them.
ACRE is now developing a plan of action to take the recommendations forward. We are very grateful to FANS for the time and expertise they have volunteered to support this work.
