Warwickshire CAVA appointed as

newest member of the ACRE Network

5 November 2026

A longstanding Warwickshire voluntary organisation has been appointed as the county’s new ACRE Network member.

Warwickshire and Solihull Community and Voluntary Action joins a network of 37 other county-based charities from across the country, all of which work with and speak up for their local rural communities.

The organisation was selected as the county’s new ACRE Network member after a rigorous recruitment process, which saw the CAVA team share a bold vision of how it would support those in rural Warwickshire to thrive.

Together with national charity Action with Communities in Rural England, the ACRE Network exists to support all people living and working in villages, market towns and isolated settlements.

Corinne Pluchino, Chief Executive, Action with Communities in Rural England, said: “We are delighted to have appointed Warwickshire CAVA as the county’s ACRE Network member.

“The organisation has a deep-rooted history with Warwickshire, and a strong track record of working with communities in the county.

“These qualities are what the ACRE Network is all about, with each of our county-based members working tirelessly each and every day to make rural voices heard and to give families the same opportunities for success as those living in big towns and cities.”

Warwickshire and Solihull CAVA’s new role will see it working alongside rural communities to address local issues, and to support and deliver a wide range of community-led initiatives.

Karen Winchcombe, Chief Executive Officer, Warwickshire CAVA, said: We are very excited about joining the ACRE Network, and look forward to working with its members to strengthen support for, and advocate on behalf of, rural communities across Warwickshire and Solihull.”
